L.R.F and Ultralight fishing around the harbour in Lyme Regis.
Whether you're looking for something to keep the kids entertained, or you want to bump up your species list, there's plenty to catch down the sides of the iconic Cobb and harbour. The water clarity was looking amazing this morning, and there were perfect conditions for a couple of hours over the high tide.

The options for presenting baits are endless. Pop-up beads make great little floats to suspend a bait for near surface feeding fish.

Sabiki rigs cut down to just 2 hooks make great rigs for the smaller species and are quick and easy to make.

Cheburaska weights are ideal when working a bait close to the seabed and around the rocks. Drop-shot rigs bring small soft plastic fish patterns to life, making them irresistible to many species.

Small metal lures are really fun when targeting Mackerel, Scad and Garfish, and cast a surprisingly long way on these light rods.
A bonus of LRF fishing is there's very little to carry! It's easy to fit in a one or two hour session after work.
LRF fishing is growing in popularity all the time and Lyme Regis Sea Angling Club have their own LRF league fished once a month on a Wednesday night.
